Refuge du Clôt des Vaches
Le Clôt des Vaches is a brand new mountain refuge in the Serre Chevalier valley, with a capacity of 30 people, open almost 10 months out of 12, at an altitude of 2250 m.
Particular attention has been paid to environmental impact, with the use of photovoltaic panels, the Bois des Alpes label (using wood from the Monêtier municipal forest) and the Bâtiment Durable de Méditerranée label.
An educational trail accompanies the ascent to the refuge.
13 information panels allow hikers to discover the fauna and flora present on the site, the history of the Chardonnet mines and the local heritage.
Zian, a character representing a high-mountain guide, will accompany young and old alike as they explore the site, with games to test their knowledge of mountain culture.
