Les Orres
A vast ski area with a range of 1170 m in altitude, there are groomed slopes for all levels through pastures or larch massifs, and a quality welcome with the beautiful ice-rink and the Espace Rencontre et Culture (Area for meeting and culture).
The Embrun area’s large resort overlooks the lac de Serre-Ponçon (Serre-Ponçon Lake) and the town of Embrun. Les Orres is full of character with its hamlets and the recent developments at Bois Méan. The centre of the resort in brown larch is classed Patrimoine du XXème siècle (20th Century Heritage).
Les Orres is at the heart of an alpine eco-pole project presented by S.U.D. The goals are to become self-sufficient in terms of energy with a 35% reduction in greenhouse gases by the year 2030. In just a few years, the resort has managed to reduce its energy bill by 20%.
