Exhibition: “Nature at your fingertips”
Penelope's exhibition is an invitation to caress and touch materials with your fingertips to awaken the senses and discover tactile reading.
It is composed of entirely white objects in order to focus on tactile experimentation and avoid distraction from tonal relationships.
This journey through nature with your fingers and eyes, throughout the seasons, is a bridge between sighted and blind people.
Following her book La nature au bout des doigts (Nature at Your Fingertips, Éditions des Grandes Personnes, 2021), which was born out of her work in collaboration with the National Institute for Young Blind People, Pénélope continues this naturalist journey with two other titles published in 2023 by the same publisher: Le jardin au bout des doigts (The Garden at Your Fingertips) and La mer au bout des doigts (The Sea at Your Fingertips).
These books combine tactile and visual elements to offer young readers an innovative experience.
