Since 1980, Orpierre has been living and breathing climbing: specialist shops, accommodation, catering, signposting, parking... Everything has been thought of to make your climbing experience a blast!
It's time to set off for a sporty day and a half on the cliffs of Orpierre. Accompanied by Brice or Benjamin, climbing instructors and passionate climbers, you'll learn to climb or improve your skills as you wish. On the programme: outings full of thrills, fun and sharing!
Depending on your level and your aspirations, there are several options on offer:
- Initiation: let us guide you to gain confidence in yourself and your climbing partner, gradually control your emotions, feel the movements and the pleasure of climbing.
- Progression and improvement: you're familiar with climbing, but it's time to learn all its secrets, depending on the profile (slab, overhang), warm-up, work on your movements, anticipate and adapt.
- Long route ascent: you climb independently and would like to move onto a long route, learning belay techniques, abseiling, using specific equipment, etc. The choice of route will depend on your level and your desires!
After a thrilling day, it's important to rest and relax. The accommodation has a swimming pool with a view of the mountains - what better way to relax your tired muscles? Comfortable bedrooms and a hearty breakfast will give you the strength you need to continue your stay.
Your course continues with an extra day of climbing at Orpierre! Pack your picnic and meet up with Brice or Benjamin for a gentle warm-up.
With more than 600 pitches of climbing equipped for all levels (from 3a to 8c), and pitches ranging from slabs to impressive overhangs, there's something for every climber in this little corner of the Southern Alps, with its sunshine, blue skies and gentle way of life.
