Vauban Mountain Trail

This is the second time that this international sporting event has come to Briançon, through the Vauban Mountain Trail and the Vertical Kilometre.
These stages combine mountain trails and heritage with a tour of the surrounding forts.
Since last summer, the French mountain running and trail running teams have made Briançon their base camp and will return to train in spring 2026 to prepare for the European Championships.

Route details:
-Long route: Distance: 14 km - Elevation gain: +1000 m / -1000 m
- Vertical kilometre: Distance: 6 km - Elevation gain: +1150 m / -0 m
- Short route: Distance: 7 km - Elevation gain: +300 m / -300 m

Open to all, licensed and unlicensed runners.
