MOUNTAIN HOUSE WITH A COSY AMBIANCE
The single-storey gîte is located at an altitude of 1150 m. It is very well equipped, has a wifi connection and benefits from natural air conditioning, which is much appreciated during periods of high heat.
It opens onto a 20m² south-facing paved terrace.
Although the accommodation forms an integral part of the dwelling, there are no party walls with the other inhabited part, and the floor above the accommodation is not occupied.
Ideal accommodation for 2 people, correct for 3 people or 2 adults and 2 children, a little less suitable for 4 adults: 1 bedroom with 2 separate single beds 90x190 cm or forming a 180x190 cm bed if they are close together - living room kitchen area with 'Rapido' type sofa bed 160x190 cm.
In addition, we provide: a secure annexe used as a laundry room, storage room for bulky items: luggage - sports equipment - bicycles - garden furniture - as well as a second WC - electric fondue set, gas plancha, barbecue - baby equipment - guide book, IGN map, mountain magazines - private car park in front of the gîte - 2 televisions.
A few metres away, in the garden, you can enjoy the view of the Serre-Ponçon lake and the mountains, including the 'Grand Morgon' peak and the 'Aiguilles de Chabrières', which rise to 2,402 and 2,324 metres respectively.
Near the gîte, start of local footpath no. 10 and the Grande Randonnée footpath towards the Col de la Gardette, the Pic de Piolit or the Aiguilles de Chabrières and the GR 50. Snowshoeing and ski touring from the gîte, snow permitting. Mountain bike trails.
In the area around Lac de Serre-Ponçon, holidaymakers can enjoy a wide choice of sporting and cultural activities, summer and winter alike. In summer, water-based activities include swimming, sailing, water-skiing, diving, rafting on the Durance, etc., cycling (with its legendary mountain passes), as well as mountain activities (hiking, mountain biking, via-ferrata, canyoning, paragliding, etc.). In winter, holidaymakers can take advantage of the proximity of low-cost family ski resorts (Réallon - Ancelle - St Léger) and larger resorts (Les Orres - Risoul/Vars - Orcières).
