The village of Cervières is 10 kilometers far from Briançon on the legendary road of the Izoard pass. This big village counted in the 18th century nearly 1000 inhabitants. The main activities were agriculture, trade and weaving. Cheese, a kind of blue, was very famous and was sold to south of Italian Piedmont. Unfortunately, a large part of the village burned in September 1944 during the liberation of the region. Only one line of old houses resisted the flames.
It is in one of them that the Maison Faure-Vincent Dubois is set up.
Remained intact since the 19th century, it will allow you to live an intense moment in the heart of a peasant family. Developed on 4 levels, you will find all the tools, furniture and necessary objects for the hard daily activities of the Cerveyrins of yesteryear ...
