Ski touring in Clarée beginner - le Chalet d'en hô

PROGRAM:

Sunday: Welcome to the hotel
Meet in the afternoon at the Chalet d'en Hô in Névache, reception and information meeting in the evening. Overnight at the hotel in Névache.
Monday: Montgenevre
To discover the activity smoothly your instructor will take you to the station to tame the equipment, review the technical bases of the descent in full snow and enjoy the lifts to gain ungroomed valleys for the first off-piste descent
Tuesday: Vallon de Buffère and crest of Baude (2576 m) or Echaillon (2571 m)
Small transfer by minibus (5 minutes) to Ville-Haute (1600 m), to get your legs up the track of the Haute-Vallée. We follow the trail that leads to the refuge of Buffère to reach this valley suspended in the relief suitable for the practice of ski touring: on both sides, 2 welcoming ridges with gentle relief and different snow conditions.
Wednesday: Vallon du Granon (2300 m)
Departure from the village of Val des Prés, at 1400 meters altitude, a few minutes from the hotel. A day to review the basics of hiking equipment and safety gear. A climb of 600 to 800 meters that climbs in the larch forest, before going out on the village of alpine chalets Granon first, then possibly add some slopes well exposed above the hamlet.
Thursday: Ascent to the refuge of Chardonnet (2250m)
After the short transfer by minibus, we take again the track of the Haute Vallée to win the route that will lead us to the refuge of Chardonnet where we will spend the night (650m of difference of level). We lighten the bags to go explore the valley above the refuge towards the pass.
Friday: Vallon du Chardonnet Col du raisin (2691m)
The valley offers a multitude of possibilities for the day’s hike. Your guide will find the right route for you according to the conditions and state of the group! Go to the shelter and pick up your belongings and return to the valley.
Overnight at hotel in Névache.
Saturday: End of stay
End of stay after breakfast.

VERY IMPORTANT:
The management reserves the right to modify the program for any reason (weather conditions, snow, technical level of participants, logistics, availability at the refuge...) in order to improve your stay.

LEVEL:

Stay accessible to beginners in ski touring.

Physical level: you must be able to climb a difference in altitude of 600 to 800 m (3 to 5 hours of effort depending on the snow), and still be fit for the descent! Of course, the guide will give a rhythm and make a track that allow everyone to go out enjoying it.

Technical level: For those who have never done ski touring and little off-piste skiing, you must be able to go down a black track being comfortable.
