Relaxation and balneotherapy

The Grand Bains du Monêtier in Serre Chevalier have been drawing naturally hot beneficial spring water (44°C cooled to 37°C) for as long as can be remembered. The Grands Bains thermal baths have become a reference in the Alps. Nearby, two biotopic lakes have recently been created. Naturally warm waters also exist at the Plan de Phazy near to Guillestre.  

In Montgenèvre, the Durancia aquatic centre opened at the foot of the slopes in February 2015. This beautiful installation offers a balneo-recreation area, a well-being area and a spa. Other facilities are set to open in the near future in Saint-Bonnet en Champsaur and Embrun and a considerable amount of accommodation is equipped with a spa. 

In the summer, the Lac de Serre-Ponçon (Serre Ponçon Lake) the gorges de la Méouge (Méouge Gorges) and the lakes in Veynes or Serres in the Buëch are refreshing.
