Program of the Freedom Hiking Stay 6 nights:
Day 1: Arrival and installation at the hotel
Day 2: Vallon des Thures
Starting on foot directly from the hotel for the Thures plateau, a huge alpine meadow open under the sky to the Col des Thures (2194m). You discover the lake Chavillon and the view of the Thabor. You can choose, along the way, to add the ascent of the Aiguille Rouge (2545m).
Difference in altitude: 600m (+400m for the Aiguille Rouge), 4h30 (+2h00) of walk
Day 3: Vallon and Col du Chardonnet
After a short transfer in high valley, up to the hamlet of Fontcouverte (1860m), you first climb to the refuge of Chardonnet before reaching the fantastic suspended glacial valley that dominates it. You can climb up to the col du Chardonnet which offers a fantastic panorama of the Ecrins.
Difference in altitude: 600 to 900m, 5 to 6h walk
Day 4: The Tour des Cerces (at your choice, the small tour or the big tour)
Depending on your form of the day, you can make the small or the big tour des Cerces, starting from the parking lot of Laval (2030m). For the short tour, from the hamlet of Laval (2030m) you follow the Clarée to its source, the Lac de la Clarée, then you pass in Savoie through the Seuil des Rochilles (2459m) to make a loop that goes through the lakes and the col des Rochilles (2496m) and the lake and the col des Cerces (2574m).
Elevation change: 544m, 5 to 6 hours of walking
The grand tour of the Cerces begins with the ascent of the col des Béraudes (2770m) passing by the sumptuous turquoise lake of the same name. Then the loop leads you to the col de la Ponsonnière (2613m) and then to the lake and the col des Cerces (2574m) before going down on the lakes of Rochilles and Clarée, then along the torrent of Clarée.
Difference in altitude: 1000m, 6 to 7h walk
Day 5: Laramon and Serpent Lakes
From Fontcouverte, you follow the access to the refuge of Ricou and then the beautiful path in turns that leads to the first lake, the Laramon (2359m). Lake Serpent is nearby (2448m). A postcard landscape awaits you, with the Ecrins massif in the background. As an option, you can try the ascent of the Pic du Lac Blanc (2980m) passing by the lakes of Gardioles. Similarly, on the way back, you can choose to return to Névache on foot by the path of round, superb path in balcony above the valley.
Difference in altitude: 600m (+450m for the Peak), 5 to 7h walk depending on options
Day 6: Vallon and Col de Buffère
Starting from Ville-Haute, you follow the right bank of the Clarée to the Pont de Rately (1749m) to reach the valley and the chalets of Buffère (2090m). Several options are then possible from the chalets: the Lac de Privé (2304m), the Col de Buffère (2427m) or the Grand Aréa (2869m). Similarly, the return can be done by another trail, that of Côte Rouge.
Difference in altitude: 500m for the chalets (+200 to 750m), 3 to 4 hours (+ 1h30 to 4h)
Day 7: Choice of hiking and end of stay in the afternoon.
